Refund Policy

Last updated: 11 March 2026

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to all subscription plans and credit purchases made on maxOS.social ("the Platform"). We are committed to fair and transparent billing practices and comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

2. Free Trial

All new subscription plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the free trial period. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel before the trial period expires, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your nominated payment method will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

3. Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings under "Subscription". Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not be charged for the following billing period
  • You will retain access to all features included in your plan until the end of the billing period
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period

4. Refund Eligibility

We do not generally provide refunds for subscription fees already charged, except in the following circumstances:

  • Technical failure: If a significant technical issue on our end prevented you from accessing the Service for an extended period and we were unable to resolve it within a reasonable timeframe
  • Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once for the same subscription period due to a billing error
  • Australian Consumer Law: Where the Service fails to meet a consumer guarantee under the ACL, you may be entitled to a remedy including a refund

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the charge in question. Requests submitted after this period will not be considered except where required by law.

5. Credit Purchases

Credits purchased on the Platform are non-refundable and non-transferable. Credits do not expire while your account remains active. If your account is terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service, any unused credits will be forfeited without refund.

6. Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscription plans are billed upfront for the full year. If you cancel an annual subscription:

  • Your access will continue until the end of the annual period you have paid for
  • No refund will be issued for the remaining months of the annual period, except as required by Australian Consumer Law
  • If you cancel within the first 7 days (free trial period), you will not be charged

7. Australian Consumer Law Rights

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to:

  • Cancel your service contract with us
  • A refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value

You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

8. How to Request a Refund
